In the steel industry, prices go up and prices go down. There is never a dull moment in the steel industry, to say the least. With that said, Atlas Tube, a leader in tubular steel solutions, will be raising the prices on some of its HSS products. This will go in effect on February 17, 2014.
In a letter sent to customers, Tom Muth, Atlas Tube President, wrote,
All HSS Shapes up through 22” SQ (Square and Equivalent Rectangles) US $20.00/ton and due to the rapid change in the exchange rate $100.00/ton CAD
All HSS Rounds up through 20”OD US $20.00/ton – CD $100.00/ton CAD
The increase will apply to all unconfirmed quotes and contracts.
For any questions or concerns you may have about the Atlas Tube price hikes, Muth and the company encourage you to contact them.
