Recently, the Charleston City Marina in Charleston, SC went through some renovations and called upon Florida Pipe and Steel Inc. for delivery of high quality steel piping needed to expand the marina to about 40 more slips. The city was in need of 12,000-feet worth of quality, galvanized steel pipes, with openings ranging from 24-inches, 20-inches, and 18-inches and lengths of the pipes from 72-feet in size to 85-feet.
The delivery comes after a planned 40-slip expansion of the marina as reported in the Post and Courier.
Florida Pipe and Steel hot dipped the pipes 12,000-feet worth of pipe piles.
Here was the order from the Charleston City Marina:
— 4,000’ of 24” x .500 wall in 80’ lengths
— 4,000’ of 20” x .500 wall in 85’ lengths
— 4,000’ of 18” x .500 wall in 72’ lengths.

For other pipe supplier companies, this delivery would be a problem, but Florida Pipe was able to come through with a major load in a timely fashion for the marina.
